I had the album The Iceman Cometh while I was in college; in ‘68 or ‘69 Jerry Butler gave a really great concert at my school, Davidson College, during the Homecoming weekend. A year earlier, also during homecoming, Chuck Jackson was the headliner! I grew up at the right time.
